Ellen Hobbs Hirshman has been a trial attorney practicing personal injury/medical malpractice law since 1982. She formerly defended hundreds of lawsuits against physicians accused of medical malpractice while working at Jacobson Maynard, the law firm for the state's largest insurer of physicians.
Since leaving the firm in 1994, Ellen has vigorously pursued claims on behalf of injured patients in medical malpractice cases. From 1996 to 1998, the Ohio Supreme Court appointed her to sit as a Commissioner on the Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline. This Board is responsible for adjudicating and enforcing claims of lawyer and judicial misconduct.
Ellen holds Martindale Hubbell's highest AV rating available, of "very high to superior legal ability," based on a survey of her peers, and she has obtained numerous seven figure recoveries for her clients.
Ellen Hirshman is a cum laude graduate of John Carroll University and a graduate of Cleveland Marshall College of Law.
